On the afternoon of April 20, the Head of Government of Mexico City announced that José Alfonso Suárez del Real is leaving his position as secretary of government with immediate effect, after being promoted to an international level as minister of the Mexico office before the Council of Europe.

According to the words of Claudia Sheinbaum, “it is a pride” that Suarez del Real represents the country on the European continent, for which he thanked him for his time as a capital official and wish him every success in this new position.

Dr. Alfonso Suárez, who served as head of office at the Head of Government for almost two years, thanked the “opportunity to have worked under the leadership of Sheinbaum,” for which he reiterated that CDMX remains in good hands.
