After Wisin and Yandel announced that it was time for their separation, they announced that their tour The Last Mission will pass through some states of Mexico.
Through social networks it was reported that Wisin and Yandel will perform on at least three dates in Mexico with their last tour before their end as a duo. It was the Superballetes ticket office that announced that Puerto Ricans will be in Monterrey, Guadalajara and Mexico City.
The concerts that the duo will offer in Aztec lands are:
Guadalajara: Telmex Auditorium, August 23
CDMX: Arena Mexico City, August 26
Monterrey: Monterrey Arena, August 27
The pre-sale of tickets for the shows in CDMX and Monterrey will be from April 22 to April 24 through the Supertickets page and will be only for Banco Azteca customers. The general sale of tickets for the Guadalajara concert will be from April 25.
After Wisin and Yandel reunited in 2019, after having already separated for the first time in 2014, they announced that they will be disbanded again after 25 years of success, but now definitively. That is why they will release a final album together, as well as a documentary of their career and their farewell tour.
Yandel mentioned in an interview with Agencia EFE in December 2021 that this tour was planned for before the pandemic began, but they think that now is the ideal time to say goodbye to their audience forever.
They also mentioned that they have organized that their goodbye be remembered by everyone, because they want to leave the stage with several “high” shows and that most of their fans can enjoy one of their last concerts.
“We are preparing a high school cycle to carry our show. The year 2022 and the beginning of 2023 will be many concerts in new cities and others that we have already gone to share our successes,” said the also known as The Survivor.
Regarding their last album, it has not yet been announced when it will be released, but the singers said that it is almost finished and will include great exponents of music, because “we want to finish with the best”, Wisin said.
Although they have decided to take different directions in music, neither of the two members plans to say goodbye to their profession, because for both of them being singers is their life.
“I'm always going to be involved in music. Retiring in music is never going to happen. What I do is what I love, which is not work, but something I enjoy,” Wisin said in the interview.
Another great exponent of the urban genre who have decided to retire is Daddy Yankee, who recently added dates for his farewell tour of Mexico.
As part of its international tour La lúltima vuelta, the Big Boss will perform its hits in Baja California, Monterrey, Guadalajara and Mexico City, giving a total of eight shows in Aztec lands.
Like Wisin and Yandel, Daddy Yankee will release a final album, Legendaddy, as a thank you to his fans.
“Today I finally see the goal. It was you who gave me the key to open the doors and make this genre the largest in the world, it is the greatest treasure I can have in my career,” he said in the video with which he announced his retirement.
