Wellness Fairs in Mexico City: where to go and what free services they offer

The Wellness Fairs are a strategy organized by the Secretariat for Inclusion and Social Welfare, where free notary services, citizen security, attention in welfare modules, among others are offered.

The Ministry of Health of Mexico City (CDMX) invited the capital to attend the Wellness Fairs held in 10 mayors, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., to learn about the free services offered.

The Wellness Fairs are a strategy organized by the Secretariat for Social Inclusion and Welfare (SIBISO), in coordination with the Ministry of Finance (CDMX Finance), the Ministry of Health (SEDESA), the Legal Department (CEJUR), Pilares and the Central de Abasto (CEDA), among others.

This, with the aim of the country's capital reviving its economy, creating spaces for the commercialization of producers, artisans, social and solidarity organizations. In addition, these events offer free notary services, citizen security, assistance in the Welfare, Treasury, Civil Registry and the “Central de Abasto” program.

On March 29, at the head of the opening of the event at the Cuauhtémoc mayor's office, the head of government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum, highlighted that for the first time at the Wellness Fairs, wills will be issued free of charge for people over 65 and over, as well as birth certificates.

In her participation, the local president explained that citizens will be able to attend for services such as land payment, clarifications on water charges and territorial regularization with the attention of trained personnel from the Treasury, the Water System and the Ministry of Health.

While the program “Central de Abasto in your Colonia” brings the products of the basic basket closer to citizens from the Central de Abasto, with “the best prices in the whole country”, according to the Federal Consumer Prosecutor's Office (Profeco).

What services can be found at the Wellness Fairs?

Through its official social networks, the Legal and Legal Services Office of Mexico City informed that the capital will be able to carry out the following procedures and services at the Wellness Fairs:

Free birth certificate and other civil registry procedures

Free will for adults over 65

Free legal advice and guidance on divorce, guard and custody or alimony, among other topics

Modules for clarification and payment of property or water

Welfare programs such as pension

Offer and registration for credits for entrepreneurs and small businesses

Job exchange in Mexico City

Free medical care and other health services, such as taking blood pressure and glucose

Free artistic and cultural activities for the general population

Offering free Pillars training and education courses in the capital

The Fairs will be held until Sunday, April 24, and will visit 10 colonies daily.
