US Undersecretary Julieta Valls Noyes visits Mexico to address the migration crisis

Julieta Valls Noyes, Undersecretary of State for Population, Refugees and Migration (PRM) of the United States, is on a visit to Mexico from April 20 to 23, to discuss with authorities and organizations the migration crisis that has occurred in recent years between the two nations.

The US State Department announced that the official “will meet with partners of international organizations and representatives of the Mexican government”, for example with elements of the Mexican Commission for Refugee Assistance (COMAR), “to discuss collaborative efforts and shared priorities to address the forced displacement in the region”.

Similarly, they added, it will visit people who provide critical humanitarian assistance to vulnerable populations, including refugees and migrants.
