In the historically most troubled town of Bogotá, Ciudad Bolívar, they have not fully recovered from the consequences of the attack with explosives on the CAI in the Arborizadora Alta neighborhood, which left two dead children dead, when a new allegation was made that the dissidents of the extinct FARC are recruiting young people into that area in the south of the Colombian capital.
In the television news report Noticias Uno, they learned that a complainant went to the Secretariat of Security to warn that the recruits are being taken from the Meissen, Arborizadora and Altos de la Estancia neighborhoods to train in rural areas of Icononzo (Tolima), within the Sumapaz region. There, he said, they are teaching them about the handling of long weapons, explosives and they would also be enlisting him to perpetrate a pistol plan against the uniformed men of that town.
The man reiterated that 'Mechas' and 'Donkey', the criminal leaders of the self-described dissidents fronts 33 and 10, are responsible for the attack on the CAI, and assured that it was a street dweller, addicted to narcotics, who activated the explosive.
In addition, the man said that they are planning attacks against two members of the Historical Pact who reside in that town and against some of the former FARC combatants, who are now congressmen of the Commons Party.
“We consider a situation of this caliber to be very serious, because in fact the party in the city of Bogotá has been the victim in recent months of a policy, which we do not hesitate to systematically describe, as attacks on the productive projects of the signatories of the peace agreement and against the militancy of our party very particularly in the town of Ciudad Bolivar “, said Carlos Carreño, a representative of the political community that emerged from the peace agreement.
Despite the fact that the informant gave these details to the Colombian capital's Ministry of Security, in addition to the fact that the authorities are aware of other intimidations against these persons, they have not informed these politicians that, apparently, they would be in the spotlight of dissent.
“There are some threats that seem to be aware of by the authorities, but we are not informed and we simply have to wait for the events to happen and hopefully a serious tragedy will not end,” Carreño added.
In Noticias Uno they consulted precisely with that entity of the District, where they were told that they transferred the information to the competent authorities.
“The version, like any information brought to the attention of the Secretariat, is transferred to the research agencies for analysis and verification in order to confirm or discard it,” they said.
Just this week, the National Police published the spoken portrait of the person who carried out the attack in the CAI of Arborizadora Alta and offered up to 300 million pesos for information allowing his capture.
“Based on the collection of information that has been carried out in Ciudad Bolivar (...) with a group of experts, in full coordination with prosecutors assigned to the case, he developed the spoken portrait of the person responsible for this terrorist act,” said the director of the institution, General Jorge Luis Vargas.
This attack left 149 families affected both in their entirety and by damage to their homes. The same happened with 16 commercial premises and five vehicles in which drivers and passengers were injured by the explosive wave.
