After touring more than 45 cities in the United States and having passed through Canada, Puerto Rico and landing in other South American countries such as Peru and Chile, the best of Vincent Van Gogh's work takes a new stop: Colombia.
Bogotá will be the capital in charge of receiving the selection of 300 iconic Dutch paintings that make up the exhibition 'Beyond Van Gogh', an immersive exhibition that consists not only of the appreciation of the paintings, but also of a multimedia experience made by a group of designers who made up an entire journey around the life and legacy of the artist.
The exhibition is composed of a journey through dreams and their words to guide the viewer to the core of his style, both impressionistic and post-impressionist, a movement of which he was the precursor after his death in July 1890. The projections full of light, shapes and color - worthy tribute to his lively paintings - on the walls are just some of the highlights of the show.
Even within the immersion into this world, attendees will appreciate fragments of the letters he sent to his brother, Theo, where he described his genius, but also confessed his sensitivity. There were more than 900 epistles left by the artist, including those addressed to his sister, Wil, and other artistic references such as Anton van Rappard, Émile Bernard and Paul Gauguin.
Visitors will also appreciate 3D samples, selfie spot and museography, as well as immersive projections. The setting will be the Great Carpa Americas in Corferias and there will also be a space to acquire reminders and replicas of icons such as' Self-Portrait ',' Lilies' or 'The Starry Night' among others.

The idea of setting up this exhibition came from the French-Canadian director Mathieu St-Arnaud and his team at the Normal Studio in Montreal. In addition, the creative has stood out for working on world-class stages, such as Circo Du Soleil through the development of several experiences within various functions; he has even collaborated on similar productions for Justin Timberlake, Linkin Park and The Killers, among others.
In this regard, both Bizardo Live and TBL Live, companies responsible for bringing this Dutch experience to Bogotá, indicated that “This immersive exhibition is created by world-renowned audiovisual designers. Beyond Van Gogh Colombia uses cutting-edge projection technology to create a magical journey into the world of this extraordinary artist, in an experience of culture and entertainment.”
