A few days ago it became known that the censored former Minister of Health, Hernán Condori, had been appointed adviser to the Directorate of Integrated Health Networks (Diris) in East Lima of the Ministry of Health ( Mines). This fact aroused a series of criticisms in public opinion, and even the Deputy Minister of the Government, Dina Boluarte, spoke out against it. However, Condori said he resigned from that position this afternoon. The Minsa accepted this resignation, thereby materializing its departure.

Meanwhile, in a letter released this afternoon, it became known that the Minsa office decided to “accept the irrevocable resignation submitted by surgeon Hernán Condori from the management position of Advisor to the General Directorate of the Lima East Integrated Health Networks Directorate, of the Ministry of Health, which was ordered by Directorial Resolution dated April 16, 2022, thanking him for his services.”

As it became known, on April 16, the appointment of surgeon Ana Carmela Vásquez Quispe Gonzales was terminated in the position of adviser to the General Directorate of the Directorate of Integrated Health Networks of East Lima, a position she had arrived a little more than a month ago. After his departure, Condori was appointed as a consultant.

His appointment had aroused numerous criticisms. Congressman Jorge Montoya (Popular Renewal) even pointed out that he could question the current Minister of Health, Jorge López, about this fact.

“I prefer to return to Chanchamayo, where I am appointed, so that they simply rest assured because I think we have hurt a lot of economic power around here, said the former minister. He pointed out that all the controversy aroused by his hiring would be a “political media issue”. “I'm probably famous because of you, the press, which has hurt me enough,” he said.

He also commented on the statements of Vice - President Dina Boluarte, who stated that if she had to consider as adviser “a censored minister, I wouldn't have done it.” Condori replied that the owner of the Midis “does not know what the organization part is like” and made these statements out of “ignorance”.

On the other hand, the doctor emphasized on several occasions that his hiring in the Diris does not mean a second approach to the Ministry of Health, since he considered it a separate body of the ministry. In addition, he noted that his censorship of the office of minister did not prohibit him from holding another public office in the State.

I am a censored minister, but I am not disqualified from being able to hold a position of official, of adviser. And I'm not in the Minsa, you're wrong. La Diris Lima Este is like a Diresa in any region. The standards are made by Minsa, but it is like a very separate executing unit that sees the different posts and health centers,” he said.

“I'm no longer going to hold the position of minister, but I have the right to work anywhere, that's what they don't understand,” he added.

RECENT CENSORSHIP

As is recalled, on March 31, the Plenary of Congress censored Hernán Condori, after the motion calling for his departure from the Cabinet of Ministers was approved. In total, 71 parliamentarians voted to remove him, 32 voted against and there were 13 abstentions.

The trade requesting his departure from Minsa stated that Condori “practiced his profession inadequately by promoting the sale of Cluster X2 ('cluster water'), attributing medicinal properties that are not proven and certified by any official or academic authority”.

Similarly, he was also questioned for promoting a service for the diagnosis of cervical cancer in a minute, when he did not count the specialty of gynecology and oncology.
