INPEC will review one by one the permits of 15 computers found in the south pavilion of La Picota

In addition, a surprise operation detected cash inside this area of the prison, occupied by figures linked to corruption scandals who were visited by Juan Fernando Petro

A surprise inspection carried out on Tuesday afternoon in the south wing of the prison center and focusing on the cells of 19 inmates, allowed the Inpec Immediate Reaction Command to find $150,000 and 15 computers that, at the moment, have their respective permits.

The order issued by the director of La Picota, Tito Castellanos, was issued after the scandal starring Juan Fernando Petro — brother of Senator and candidate Gustavo Petro — who visited some prisoners with the aim of managing a “social pardon” in the event of the second being promoted to the presidency.

The results of the inspection were revealed through a press release signed by the director of the prison precinct, who also reported that after the equipment found in La Picota has been inventoried, each of them will be reviewed to determine if the permits for such devices are renewed.

It should be noted that the prisoners visited by Mr. Petro are former senator Iván Moreno, parapolitical Alvaro 'el Gordo' García, former mayor of Villavicencio Francisco Chaparro, former congressman Manuel Carebilla and Carlos Albornoz, former head of the National Narcotics Directorate.

THIS IS A NEWS IN DEVELOPMENT.
