Hector Parra's daughter revealed that she takes antidepressants after her dad's arrest for alleged sexual abuse

Hector Parra has been in pretrial detention for ten months after being arrested for the alleged sexual abuse of his daughter Alexa Parra.

Thus, last Tuesday, although the intermediate hearing on this case was postponed until May 17, Daniela, the actor's other daughter and who has supported him, went to Prison Oriente accompanied by her father's new defense. There he took the opportunity to talk to the media about how he felt about Hector's legal process.

“My dad and I are very safe and calm with the new defense. I didn't have a good time, in fact, I started on antidepressants. It's a pretty extensive topic, not only is my dad in prison, but also my sister, social pressure... that doesn't even let me get out of bed,” he said to the microphones.

For her part, Samara Avila, another of Héctor Parra's lawyers, was confident with the evidence they have to prove the artist's innocence.

“We are totally confident in the innocence of our client, we are just carving out all the information, it is information that has been accumulating for many months, many experts, many psychologists against our client who have been helping to sustain facts that until now as a defense we see as incorrect, we see confusing, many irregularities,” he said.

It was at the end of 2020 when Hector Parra's ex-wife, Ginny Hoffman and his daughter Alexa gave interviews in which they assured that the histrion committed harassment for years. In this regard, the case continues to escalate since in February 2022 the celebrity was formally accused by the CDMX Prosecutor's Office for allegedly committing sexual abuse and corruption of minors.

It was Ginny Hoffman who, through a statement from her Instagram profile, highlighted a few months ago the advance of the complaint she filed against her former partner.

“For the fact that the law indicates as a crime of sexual abuse committed against a person under fourteen years of age, aggravated and corrupted minors, aggravated in the grievance of the victim of initials A.P.H. who suffered these behaviors from 6 years to 14 years of age,” it reads.

According to the report, the actor will remain in pre-trial detention until a resolution of the case is given. At the moment, the criminal proceedings are in the written phase of the intermediate stage and will have to be verified before a Control Judge at a hearing where evidence will be poured and an oral trial will take place.

Thus, during the most recent meeting with the media and the postponement of the interim hearing, Olivia Rubio, the complainant's lawyer, explained that this part of the process seeks to analyze which evidence is viable.

“The intermediate hearing is a hearing in which it is defined by a supervising judge what evidence is going to be released in the trial, and in addition, it will be given for each of the parts of the evidence they have offered: what are those that have the quality to reach the trial,” he said.

Olivia added that the hearing was deferred for another 30 days due to the “lack of batteries in one of the psychological tests” and that Hector Parra's previous defense has not handed over the entire research kit.
