Government will appeal ruling and Diego Molano will remain in the Ministry of Defense

The ruling against the appointment of the minister is mainly due to the Quotas Act, which establishes a minimum participation of women in the cabinet

Upon learning of the decision of the Administrative Court of Cundinamarca that revokes the decree by which Diego Molano was appointed Minister of Defense, the Colombian Government responded by stating that it will appeal the decision. It was also indicated that the staff member would not be removed from office until the judgment was ratified.
