Maria Sharapova announced on her Instagram account that she is pregnant with her first child. The five-time Grand Slam champion broke the news on her social network account just on her 35th birthday.
“A beautiful start!!! Eating cake for two has always been my specialty,” he posted on his account that he has more than 4.2 million followers. In just over two hours, the post in which she is seen on the beach showing her belly had more than 80,000 likes.
The former tennis player who won five Grand Slam tournaments (Roland Garros in 2012 and 2014; Australia in 2008; Wimbledon in 2004 and the US Open in 2006) retired in February 2020. At the age of 32, she was far from the foreground, in fact ranked 373rd in the WTA world ranking. While in December 2020 she announced that she was engaged to marry businessman Alexander Gilkes.
