The Chihuahua judicial authority released seven suspected hit men arrested after the operations deployed for the murder of two ministerial agents on a stretch of road in Janos, in addition to an element of the National Institute of Migration (INM).

The public prosecutor's office regretted the ruling issued by a Control Judge of the Galeana Judicial District, as the subjects were arrested in possession of drugs, a rifle exclusively used by the military and at least 400,000 pesos in cash, after the ambush on April 16.

“As an institution that represents Chihuahua society, it respectfully urges the judiciary to work collaboratively and jointly on issues as sensitive as the loss of two police elements,” the ministerial unit reported.

According to the public prosecutor's office, these subjects were arrested on the afternoon of the incident at kilometer 238 of the Janos highway to Nuevo Casas Grandes.
