For violating the quota law, the decree appointing Diego Molano as Minister of Defense was overthrown on April 20 by the Administrative Court of Cundinamarca. The entity granted the reason to a group of citizens who filed a lawsuit in which they stated that “the current composition of the Cabinet of Ministers and Ministers does not meet the minimum percentage of participation of women in their integration, so the administrative act of appointment defendant is flawed”.

This information would have already been notified to the national Government, which is expected to appeal the decision.
