Episode 42 of the MasterChef Celebrity Colombia gastronomic contest brought to light some of the problems of coexistence that are experienced within the show's kitchen. In this episode, Aco Pérez and Tostao were notable for their absence when they fired comedian Pamela Ospina.
In the elimination challenge, a poorly cooked language took the comedian Paisa out of the game, who throughout the competition has shown to have differences with the coastal actor and the chocoano singer; however, it was at the time of their departure that they did not keep their bad comments against the woman.
Ospina's farewell from the program was quite emotional, “it hurts me that Pamela leaves because I know her desire to be here and that people know her as she is,” Aida Morales said in private interviews. Other participants, Claudia Bahamón and the juries, expressed their sincere feelings of appreciation for the paisa, also congratulating her on having significantly improved her gastronomic skills.
Cristina Campuzano was the first to violate the rules, since when one of the participants is eliminated, everyone else must stay on the balcony and let him go out alone. The actress did not care about this and went down quickly to give Pamela a hug, behind her the other competitors came down, except for Aco and Tostao. Campuzano cried a lot when hugging the comedian, this considering that the last dish prepared by Ospina was a gift for her because she called it 'Thank you Campuchef'.
“If they scold me, I'm going to get off and I'm going to say goodbye to Pame because I'm not going to let her go without giving a hug to the one who for me is my best friend in the competition,” said the actress.
Isabella Santiago was another one who surprised with her tears when she fired Pamela Ospina, noting that she was one of the best friends she made in the competition. Behind them came Ramiro Meneses, Aida Morales, Aida Bossa, Tatán Mejia, Carlos Báez, Chicho, Estiwar G, Natalia and Manuela, all came down from the balcony to go and embrace the comedian and several of them cried.
Athlete Tatán Mejia called Aco Pérez and Tostao to come down to say goodbye to Pamela; however, both were reluctant. “Let's go and say 'the good one',” the ChocQuibTown singer told his partner, but the actor expressed that he would feel very hypocritical when he came down and said goodbye. “No tostao, don't do this to me. It's just that I'm not born”, said the actor and didn't come down to fire the comedian.
The Chocoano singer pointed out that he was happy because Pamela's departure meant another week for Chicho. “It's not a secret for anyone that Pamela had it on me, and I don't even know why,” Tostao said.
For his part, chef Christopher Carpentier highlighted Ospina's humor and Jorge Rausch pointed out that “you're very special, it's hard for us to fire them.” Finally, Nicolás de Zubiría reminded him that “you came to this competition like this, wearing a black apron, you managed to overcome obstacles and learned to cook... you were supporting all these people who love you and building a cook inside you.”
Pamela's words to say goodbye to her teammates highlighted the bad relationship she had with some of them. “I know that I am a 'rare' person. The people we liked me all the same thanks for being a mirror. Thank you all for encouraging me to be myself, unfortunately I don't know how to do language”, she concluded.
