These are the best schools in Colombia

Sapiens Research carried out a ranking of the best educational institutions in the country, taking into account the category that the establishments obtained in Icfes and other variants

Recently the list of the 100 best colleges in Colombia became known. In this ranking, 925 public and private institutions from all over the country participated in this ranking that achieved the A+ category or higher in Icfes. However, it should be noted that the official colleges that are part of the list are very few.

Although the ranking is made with the best 100 schools in the national territory, Sapiens Research company in charge of making the list, reported that in this version they ranked 194 institutions due to their score in Icfes.

Likewise, he reported that the data collection and analysis was carried out between January and February of this year. In this study, it was possible to establish that 173 schools that remained classified, 17 came out and another 21 entered the ranking.

In addition, of the 194 schools that ranked in this measurement, 191 belong to the private sector and only three are public. On the other hand, it was established that 103 institutions that are on the list are calendar A and the remaining 91 belong to calendar B.

The three public schools that ranked

There are more than 13,700 schools in the country. Of these, more than 70% are from the public sector; however, in version #9 of the 100 Best Schools by Subject 2021-2022, only three schools in this sector managed to rank.

“On the one hand, it's a great achievement for these campuses. On the other hand, this shows that the model of education imposed in the country has been in “intensive care” for decades, without any signs of improvement. In other words, hundreds of thousands of high school graduates leave each year with a preparation that leaves a lot to say,” said Sapiens Research.

The three official schools that are on the list are: Alexander Von Humboldt Institute of Barranquilla (ranked in 4 out of 5 subjects), Lyceum of the University of Nariño de Pasto (also in 4 out of 5 subjects) and the National Technical Institute of Commerce of Cucuta (in 2 out of 5 subjects).
