After the presidential candidate Gustavo Petro and his formula for the Vice-Presidency, Francia Márquez, went to a notary's office to sign no they will expropriate anyone of their property if they come to power, the criticism was not long in coming. However, what caught the attention of this event was a particular triune sent by the senator.
Social media questioning went viral against Petro. One of them caught the candidate's attention. “Is Petro going to the Notary to swear that he will not pardon corrupt people and that he will not harass businessmen or the media and that he will allow us to oppose and that he will not end the EPS and that he will not take away our pensions and that he will not get drunk again in public?” , questioned one Twitter user.
That publication did not go unnoticed by the leader of Human Colombia, who responded by leaving a message that received harsh criticism from netizens: “Rather someone should go to the notary to swear that they will not kill more young people,” said Gustavo Petro.
Social networks overflowed against the aspirant and urged him to be more careful with his trills that, they said, may be “incendiary”. What's more, Petro's tweet was described as “ambiguous” by Professor Jorge Restrepo, an academic at Universidad Javeriana and recognized on Twitter for his political positions.
“Senator, who killed young people? Accept that the ambiguity of your trill criminalizes and unleashes the passions of your fans; you are responsible for the aggressions of those fanatics. Remember that just two days ago you promised “Defend ourselves from the argument and not attack the person,” criticized the teacher.
Again, Petro did not let the questioning go unnoticed and this time, with his own name, he referred to former President Álvaro Uribe Velez, who is now being investigated for two crimes. In his reply, the candidate for the presidency recalled the number of extrajudicial executions (false positives) that occurred during the eight years that the natural head of the Democratic Center was in power and left him another very harsh message.
This new publication reached more than seven thousand likes and responses from hundreds of Internet users. One of those who got into the controversy of who today leads the voting intention was also the presidential candidate of the Centro Esperanza Coalition, Sergio Fajardo.
“Gustavo must calm down and take care of words. That language is very dangerous, it generates violence,” said the former governor of Antioquia.
For now, the senator and former mayor of Bogotá, who is now competing for the third time to arrive at the Casa de Nariño as president, has not spoken on the issue again. However, his visit to the notary office in the company of his petrist squires has not ceased to be commented on in public opinion.
Francia Márquez, for her part, showed the moment of the signing through her social networks and said: “I undertake, under the gravity of oath, under the law and under deep respect for the constitution and the law, as vice president of all Colombians, I will not expropriate the wealth and property of their owners, I will not expropriate, I will not expropriate, I will not to expropriate anything or anyone,” said the candidate for the Vice-President.
Gustavo Petro, meanwhile, made it clear that he signs “knowing the legal implications of the false oath and manifest that I have no legal impediment to do so”, but he also established that he could legally expropriate as long as the fact that it is “for the benefit of the community and through prior compensation” , said the candidate.
