Pension for people with disabilities: when does registration begin to access the aid of 2 thousand 800 pesos

Children, adolescents and adults up to 65 years of age, who have a disability, can register for the financial support provided by the Government of Mexico. Below we will explain from which month the procedure can be carried out, as well as the requirements that must be taken into account for it.

In this regard, the Head of Government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum, assured that starting this year a joint effort will be made to make the pension for people with disabilities universal.

“Whether children, young people or adults with disabilities are going to receive this pension, so that their families do not have this burden, but receive support to be able to get ahead,” Claudia Sheinbaum said during the ceremony of re-registration of beneficiaries of the Welfare Pension program for older adults.

Those who are part of the program to help people with disabilities will receive support of 2,800 pesos on a bimonthly basis, that is, every two months.

According to the website of the Ministry of Welfare, the Pension program for the Welfare of Persons with Disabilities will be granted as follows:

-Adults with disabilities between 30 and 64 years of age who live in municipalities of indigenous peoples.

-Adults aged 30 to 65 who live in urban areas with a high degree of marginalization and poverty.

-Children and young people with disabilities from 9 to 29 years old who are located in the national territory.

When does the registration process begin?

According to the latest information, the registration process for this benefit will begin next May.

What are the requirements?

*Carry a valid official ID.

*Birth certificate.

*Unique Population Registration Key (CURP).

*Proof of address.

*Certificate or medical record attesting to permanent disability.

*Disability verification card.

Unique Wellness format.

The capital's president announced that it is a help to ensure that “all people with disabilities receive government support so that they can get ahead in a situation as difficult as what it means to have a family member with a problem”.

Meanwhile, with regard to the enrollment process for older adults who want to be part of the Welfare pension program, it was announced that more than 2,000 modules will be installed to receive requests.

However, the only places where they will not be installed at this time will be in the states where elections will be held this year.

Those interested must attend the day and place established based on the calendar presented by the Secretariat of Welfare and which began with the procedure in the entities, starting last Monday, April 18.

In order to avoid setbacks, the agency announced how to carry out the process of incorporation into the program that offers 3,850 pesos of financial aid, every two months to millions of adults over 65 years of age. This is a free procedure, directly and without intermediaries.
