The Ombudsman's Office condemned the mockery that the show's comedians “Talking Huevadas” performed on people with Down syndrome. As is known, Ricardo Mendoza and Jorge Luna made negative and stereotypical comments against the national futsal team.
“Lack of respect and prejudice to the dignity of people with disabilities is not within the freedom of expression,” the entity said through its Twitter account.
This Monday, an excerpt from the show of these two questioned people went viral, where you can hear Luna say that she is not a “Down football fan”. “I don't know who their stars are, I don't know who the different ones are,” he said, which caused the laughter of those present.
After this comment, Mendoza added that the public did not understand the joke “because it arrived late”, referring to people who have different abilities.
This comment has caused the indignation of many people through social networks, since it is not the first time they have mocked such sensitive topics.
It is worth mentioning that last February, presenters Ricardo Gabriel Mendoza Castillo and Norka Anahí Gaspar Ríos mocked about the harassment and intimidation of a minor who was traveling on a public service bus, where a subject began to touch her undue. Faced with this serious misconduct, the Public Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation against the comedians.
The investigation is being carried out by the Tenth Provincial Family Prosecutor's Office, led by prosecutor Rita Ajalcriña Cabezudo.
“The opening of this investigation was arranged after it became known that these people, who lead a program broadcast on the YouTube platform, had made mockery and obscene comments referring to a case of sexual violence in aggrieved against a minor,” said the Public Ministry.
“These kinds of comments on an issue of gender-based violence and street sexual harassment, such as the one mentioned above, violate the right to honor, dignity and social security of minors,” the prosecutor's office said in a press release.
