Liverpool and Manchester United begin to catch up on the Premier League calendar. The two teams named as the most important in English football meet in the match valid for the 30th date of the championship, starting at 2:00 in the afternoon. The match, which will be played at Anfield Stadium, has a special spice and is the first great classic in England for Luis Diaz.

The Colombian footballer started and played 85 minutes in Liverpool's 3-2 win over Manchester's other team, City, last weekend. This match gave the 'reds' the chance to play for the second title of the season, that of the long-awaited FA Cup. This will be the second final played by the guajiro player with the shirt of the local team in Anfield. This after playing the final of the League Cup days after his arrival in England.

Those led by Jurgen Klopp have had a series of important matches throughout the month of March. It started with the Champions League quarter-final match against Benfica that ended in 6-4 victory, but the second leg played on Wednesday 13 April was of high attrition at the end 3-3. In addition, he faced Manchester City for the Premier League on April 10, which ended with a 2-2 score, and the aforementioned FA Cup match against the same rival.

The match against Manchester United will be of vital importance as a Liverpool victory would partially give him the lead in the English championship. At least, while the 'Citizens' play their pending match for the same date against Brighton Albion. For their part, the red devils must win to match Tottenham Hotspur in points and add pressure in the fight for direct quotas to the UEFA Champions League for the 2022-2023 season.

Liverpool remains in second place in the standings with 73 points, just one less than Manchester City who is the leader, both with 31 matches played from 34 games played in England. Meanwhile, Manchester United is fifth with 54 points, far from the title fight, but ranked in the group stage of the UEFA Europa League.

One of the sensitive casualties of the match between 'Reds' and 'Red Devils' will be that of Cristiano Ronaldo who is going through a tough family moment after the death of his newborn twin. In his last meeting, the Portuguese star reached 60 hat-tricks in his career after scoring all three goals in the 3-2 victory over Norwich City.

Since his arrival in Liverpool in January, Luis Diaz has played 16 matches, 10 of them as a starter. Four for FA Cup, seven for Premier League, four in Champions League and the final in the Carabao Cup are the matches where he has played in total 952 minutes and where he has scored three goals and two assists.
