The case of Debanhi Escobar transcended by the strange circumstances of his disappearance. However, she is not the only young woman who lost track of last April 11, with Sofía Izaely Sánchez, Jaqueline del Río Ivoire, Regina Montserrath Gutiérrez Borrego and Alma Delia Hernández Martínez.

Sofía, 14 years old, disappeared in the Prados de Santa Rosa neighborhood in Apodaca. At the time of his disappearance, he wore a black shirt with long sleeves, buttons and blue spots, ripped jeans, Converse sneakers with sequins and a black backpack. Two days after she was last seen, Samuel Garcia reported that the minor had been found, but the information was denied.

Inés Lara, Sofia's mother, denied the statements of the governor of Nuevo León with the message: “This information for me is totally false, my daughter has not been given back by any authority and they have not called me to tell me that they have it in protection. The disappearance of Jaqueline from the Ivory River occurred in the Santa Martha neighborhood. She was wearing a black blouse with a clover print, denim shorts and white sneakers, her particular features are a dot on her nose and black hair dyed red.

It is worth mentioning that two of the unlocated teenagers, Jaqueline and Alma, disappeared in the same area, Escobedo. This has set off alarms among the inhabitants of the area and rumors have recently circulated on social networks, according to which kidnapping gangs are “lifting up” women of all ages.

The State Commission for the Search for Missing Persons has denied the existence of such gangs. Despite this, the number of missing persons remains alarming, as there are 1,798 unlocated women in the entity, according to data released by the organization United Forces for Our Disappeared in Nuevo León (FUNDENL).
