“I want to help a lot of people”: Edwar Ríos, the young man who tattooed the face of several influencers

In an interview with Infobae Colombia, the law student told why he decided to use this practice in order to help people in need in his hometown

Sometimes those who get a tattoo on their body are harshly questioned, this is the case of Edwar Ríos, a 23-year-old and law student who, in an interview with Infobae Colombia, told the main reasons that led him to get the face of some Colombian influencers tattooed.

The first to be engraved on his skin were La Liendra and Dani Duke, followed by Andrea Valdiri, Yeferson Cossio, Santiago Arroyave and the most recent one he showed through his Instagram account, La Piquiña. He also took the opportunity to tell a little about his story and the reason that led him to mark his body.

“I am 23 years old, I am a law student and I currently live in the city of Pereira and I am the one who is tattooing the face of Colombian influencers in order to reach more people and people who need that helping hand,” El Miluu initially said, as he is known on social media.

Infobae Colombia: When did the passion for tattoos begin?

Edwar Ríos- El Miluu: It arises when I decide to make a story on Instagram for La Liendra and Dani Duke, where I tag them and tell them that if they tell me the story, I tattoo them and it wasn't an hour later when they answered the story, so La Liendra told me to send her photos and videos so I decided tattoo them.

Infobae Colombia: How did you come to the conclusion and what was the motivation for getting tattoos of Colombian influencers?

El Miluu: It is logical that the traffic of followers they have is a brutal thing and I am behind it, the audience, that the more users I catch, the better because that way I am going to attract the attention of more brands and people who want to join this project and support us to make this a reality.

Second, because they are a source of inspiration, they are people who are seen to be of great heart.

Infobae Colombia: When you talk about the project, what do you mean by helping more people with the work you are doing on social networks?

El Miluu: It is a project that comes from my heart, because at times I have felt very powerless not to be able to help people, so I do the tattooing thing that is why, for me it is a social project with which I want people, brands and others to be able to join this initiative, so that one way or another start monetizing, generating income also for self-benefit because you can not cover the sun with a finger, but initially it is intended to help other people.

I have always liked to help when I can and I also like to do it when they are street dwellers, even on my Instagram I have a video when I gave a market once to a lady we know as Doña Blanca and I came to give her the help it was because once I saw her handing out flyers on the street, I took her to a house in a neighborhood here about Pereira, we started talking, it touched my heart and I decided to give it a market, I felt very powerless at that moment to not be able to give it more and that was where I decided to do something more important that would give me results.

Infobae Colombia: Do you plan to get more tattoos on your body to cover 100% of your body?

El Miluu: The goal for this year and what we were talking about with my tattoo artist are 100 tattoos, which are not going to cover 100% of the body because I am not going to touch the face or the part under my arms, let's see if we can achieve it, there we are filling in the body little by little to see how far we go.

Infobae Colombia: Have you thought about practicing other techniques of body modification?

El Miluu: No, I just get to the point of tattoos.
