Almost at the end of the 90s in Peru, a gleaming striker of Brazilian nationality based on goals, charisma and good treatment with others, won the respect and affection of the fans of Universitario de Deportes. His name was Eduardo Esidio, who came out three-time champion with the cream cast, and a year later he signed for the eternal rival, where he also won the national title on his centenary.

Eduardo Esidio was a net left-hander, with a remarkable kick and incredible ease in scoring goals, it seemed that the ball was only looking for him to add it to the opposite goal in the face of the eternal curse that all the archers received their fury. And in football he found that joy that allowed him to overcome the most difficult news to assimilate. In the difficult moments of his life he clung to people who did add up in his life and the rest was only glory. Between 1998 and 2000 he won the three-time championship with Universitario de Deportes, scored 74 goals in four seasons and reached the absolute record for top scorer in the same year in Peruvian football with 37 scores, since he pierced all arcs in our country,

Esidio made history in Peru and at the age of 52 he is still related to football in his homeland of São Paulo, Brazil, teaching children the foundations to be successful professional footballers. In addition, in his country he is devoted to religion and to his faith. That faith that allowed him to find answers at the most decisive moments of his life.

INFOBAE called Eduardo Esidio to give us details about what he is doing after leaving professional football.

“When I stopped playing football in 2006, we started with a project of working with children, teaching them the fundamentals of football and concern for the part outside the field, that they are good students, get good grades, have good behaviors at home, that whole social side, is our concern,” Esidio commented to Infobae exclusively.

“Since then, I have worked with these children, young people up to 20 years old and together with several former football teachers we worked with them in their training,” he added.

In turn, Eduardo Esidio revealed to Infobae that at the same time he opened another academy to train young talents. “Just this year, a few days ago, I started a new project, to work specifically only with strikers. The boys work on the court and I with the strikers do work of positioning outside the area, definition in the arc, and I'm doing well, the boys love the idea. They listen to the advice to put it into practice. Now, it's time to work with new talents and teach them everything that God gave me on the court,” he sentenced Infobae.
