In the municipality of Soacha, Cundinamarca, relatives report the murder of a 37-year-old pregnant woman. They cut her throat and performed a rustic cesarean section to remove the baby that was a few days away from giving birth.
The incident occurred in a desolate area of La Chacua village, on the border with the town of Sibaté, where they found the body with part of the placenta and umbilical cord. The victim was recognized as Sandra Johanna Álvarez, born in Garagoa, Boyacá.
Around 2:45, the Metropolitan Police were patrolling in the San Nicolás neighborhood, when they were informed that the community had found the lifeless body of a woman in the mountainous area. The body was naked and with a vertical abdominal opening.
According to preliminary data, the mastermind of the murder had hired the services of a subject (she is not yet identified) to commit the macabre act, who, due to the loss of her baby two months ago, paid a sum of 15 million pesos. Sandra would be given a “caesary”, the baby was taken out to stay with him, and then the woman was murdered.
In the details of the case, the murdered woman would be a street dweller, and the baby, who is alive, is under the protection of the Colombian Institute of Family Welfare (ICBF). The material actor is already identified and there is an arrest warrant against him.
The mayor of Soacha Juan Carlos Saldarriaga, expressed his astonishment after learning about the murder of the young woman in the village of Chacua, “it is terrible that they cut a woman's throat to extract her baby. We know that there is one captured, who would be the mastermind of the crime. She paid 15 million pesos for this aberration. There is already an arrest warrant for the murderer.”
On Thursday, an assurance measure was issued to him and sent to jail the alleged femicide who traveled from the municipality of Riosucio (Caldas) to the municipality of El Colegio (Cundinamarca) to kill his romantic partner, a crime he perpetrated in the early hours of Tuesday, April 12.
“The Prosecutor's Office charged him with the crime of aggravated femicide, which he did not accept. You will have to comply with the measure to ensure preventive detention in prison,” said Carlos Manuel Silva, Cundinamarca's sectional director, of the accusing body.
The prosecution of the alleged murderer took place last Thursday, after they were captured in a joint effort between uniformed men and officials of the investigating agency.
“We reproach any violent action against women. That is why in record time the National Police, in coordination with the Prosecutor's Office, succeeded in the capture of the person who killed his former partner. We invite citizens to resolve their differences and conflicts through dialogue,” said Colonel Raúl Vera Moreno, commander of the institution in that department.
Precisely even the governor of Cundinamarca himself, Nicolás García, spoke out for that judicial diligence in the same municipality.
“At 8:25 in the evening of this Tuesday, April 12, we can report that the murderer, the one responsible for this femicide, has been captured. We insist on the need to be aware of the non-aggression against anyone, but particularly the women in our department and in our country,” he reported.
