In the early morning of April 11, a family was attacked by an armed group in the municipality of Tultepec, leaving eight people dead, including four minors. The atrocity of the crime caused outrage among citizens, so authorities of the State of Mexico took on the task of carrying out the pertinent investigations to find those responsible.
Thus, during Glory Saturday, the Attorney General's Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) arrested Ricky Ángel Fragoso Villaseñor, the Rikis and/or the Apá, alleged leader of the Rikis, in the municipality of Villa del Carbón, along with seven alleged criminals, who are allegedly involved with the massacre of the family in Tultepec.
Two days after their detention, authorities of the Attorney General's Office of the State of Mexico have revealed some of the confessions of the detainees, including that, at the time of committing the multi-homicide, they were under the influence of drugs, as well as that they took the decision to riddle minors because they had seen.
According to the newspaper El Universal, officials of the Attorney General's Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) reported that the detainees confessed to having ingested a large amount of drugs when they entered the victims' homes, so they claimed to have been under the influence of different substances at the time of their committed the crime.
In addition, the authorities indicated that the detainees took the decision to finalize the minors since both the 3 and 12 year old girls and the 4-year-old boy saw the faces of the aggressors.
Early reports have indicated that at least six of the eight detainees were directly involved in the multi-homicide since there is evidence that on the day of the attack, three motorcycles with two subjects on board each arrived at the house located in the La Cañada neighborhood in Tultepec.
FGJEM stated that the arrests stemmed from investigations for crimes against health, that is, drug trade and distribution. The eight fell into flagrance and their association with the massacre was due to the deployment of 200 agents due to the hypothesis of drug trafficking as main line of research.
Field and intelligence work allowed the location of a restaurant parking lot in Taxhimay Lagoon, in the municipality of Villa del Carbón, where Investigative Police noticed a person with a firearm who tried to escape when they noticed the presence of the agents. It was Fragoso Villaseñor, the alleged criminal leader.
In addition to the alleged criminal leader, Victor Manuel “N”, Juan Jesús or Juan José “N”, José Luis “N”, Jorge Antonio “N” and Neri Dayami “N” and two minors were arrested. All of them were in possession of marijuana, so they were placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor's Office to determine their legal status.
The detainees were identified as members of the Rikis, who are engaged in drug trafficking, murder and robbery with violence in Tultepec, Tultitlán, Melchor Ocampo and Cuautitlán. It's about the criminal gang that is responsible for the multi-homicide.
Allegedly, the leader gave the order to attack the home located in the La Cañada neighborhood of Tultepec. They were looking for Brayan “N”, who would have started selling drugs without Riki's authorization, but the hit men attacked everyone present: six women and two men, three of them minors.
In addition to the massacre against the family last week, Ricky Ángel Fragoso Villaseñor is related to two more homicides, hence he has a couple of court orders issued against him during 2021.
