If they don't pay a fee, toll or tithe, their destination is to get to the hospital or grave. The sandy areas of Ventanilla have become a fertile place for criminal organizations, where 'Boby' and 'Tatán', now part of 'Los Diablos de Ventanilla', play their own role in the collection of land.
At the beginning they belonged to the criminal gang 'Los Michis', dedicated to the sale of drugs, land trafficking and extortion. This organization was dismantled on November 30 of last year, through a megaoperative where 26 members were captured.
With 'Los Michis' out of circulation, 'Boby', 'Tatán' and other remnants formed their own group that, at first, was called 'The devils of Villa los Reyes' and now they are the culprits of the terror that exists in the district.
Eric Pascual Garcia, alias' Boby ', is 28 years old and was trained as a security officer. He's the shooter. On his body he has two skulls that represent death tattooed and are found on the side of six 380 and 9 millimeter caliber bullets. Each of the pigmented projectiles on his body represents one of his fatalities.
“This guy also uncovered his back and showed his tattoos with projectiles, bullets on his chest and other tattoos that he used to try to instill fear in his victims. There are other injured persons in the area, but they did not report him for fear of reprisals,” said Peruvian National Police Colonel Jhonny Huamán.
Jonathan Juarez, better known as' Tatan ', and right-hand man of hit man' Boby ', is 31 years old, neighborhood footballer, construction worker and TikTok fan. He was in charge of managing and transferring his faithful companion to fulfill his misdeeds.
THE END OF THE DEVILS
A work was being developed at the José Carlos Mariátegui school in Ventanilla, it was a retaining wall valued at more than 1 million soles. This attracted the evildoers and 'Boby' decided to send a death threat to the builders, along with three shells.
“The injured party had obtained the construction of the retaining wall of the Jose Carlos Mariátegui school in this part of Ventanilla and as he refused to pay the 5,000 soles required of him, he sent him an extortion message. Later, in response to his complaint, these two captured persons try to take his life at a time when he was on the front of his home sharing with his two friends,” Huamán said.
Carlos Mechano and Francisco Torres did not pay the quota that afternoon and were attacked with bullets. Both survived, but witnesses recognized 'Boby' as the shooter and a security camera caught Tatan's white vehicle approaching the crime scene.
Thanks to patient intelligence work, detectives from the Kidnapping Division managed to capture both criminals. Boby was seized with a gun, the same gun he tried to kill the school play manager. On the other hand, Tatán underwent an anthropometric study in order to standardize his physical features in order to compare them with the video on the camera.
“The anthropometric homologation of criminology shows that these people in space time were in that place, in addition to the recognition of the threats being made by the injured party and with this evidence, they were held in a prison,” he said.
THE MUELAS
With the capture of Los Diablos, Luis Ruíz Berríos, better known as 'El Muelas', a hit man dedicated to collecting quotas in works, reappeared in Ventanilla this week, and last year he was released and after a few months an investigation into the crime of his partner was reopened.
But last Wednesday 'El Muelas' seriously injured a policeman in front of a construction site. However, when he tried to escape, he was arrested by a PNP unit.
