The businessman Alejandro Santo Domingo who, with a fortune exceeding $2.5 billion dollars, thus being the fifth richest Colombian in the country, would become a minority shareholder of Chelsea, the England League team, the Premier League.

On March 2, Roman Abramovich released the action he has in the team led by Thomas Tuchel for sale, thus avoiding the sanctions imposed by the British government against oligarchs close to the Kremlin and Vladimir Putin after the Ukraine-Russian conflict. Faced with this situation, the English squad has a special government license that allows it to continue its activities under strict conditions.

Faced with this situation, several offers have been received by the English club, including that of the group of British businessman Martin Broughton, where Colombian Alejandro Santo Domingo is part.

This information was given by the English media outlet Sky, which assures that the Colombian businessman would become a minority shareholder of Chelsea in the Premier League if this group succeeds in completing the business.

For his part, Josh Harris, who is co-founder of Apollo Global Management Inc, and also has a fortune of $7.6 billion, has partnered with Martin Broughton, who was former president of British Airways Plc and Liverpool FC. With this in mind, the Colombian is part of the group of interested in buying the English set.

This Saturday, Liverpool beat Manchester City 3-2, and today, Sunday 17 April, Chelsea took the win after beating Crystal Palace 2-0. The final will be played on May 14 between Chelsea and Liverpool, the second time this year they will fight for a title. For their part, Chelsea will aspire to their ninth title in the FA Cup, having won the last one in 2018, while Liverpool will be looking for the eighth and have not lifted that trophy since 2006.

The players led by Thomas Tuchel had to wait until the second half to win. The first goal came in '65, when a Kai Havertz cross was badly cleared by the Crystal Palace defense and the ball went to Loftus-Cheek, who did not miss that opportunity.
