Carlos Aysa Damas, a federal deputy who was subscribed to the parliamentary bench of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) until Sunday, April 17, announced his resignation from the tricolor party after the defeat of Q4 by promoting the Electricity Reform.

Through a letter addressed to the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Deputies, the secretary of the Southern Border Affairs Committee, made it known to the public that he submitted his resignation from the PRI bench in San Lázaro; it is also expected that with this determination, Morena National Regeneration Movement (Morena) will open its doors to the former PRI for supporting the initiative of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO).
