This past week has not been easy for the Historical Pact campaign. It all stems from the scandal generated by the visit of the brother of the presidential candidate, Gustavo Petro, to La Picota prison, where he spoke with Iván Moreno. The episode generated multiple questions from different political sectors, including the same followers of the movement.
One of the sectors that has most raised its voice to make its disagreement felt was the center, led by presidential candidate Sergio Fajardo, who sent the message: “Everything is not valid in politics”.
Faced with the revolt that has been going on for a week, this April 17, Margarita Rosa de Francisco spoke with a short and forceful message in which she implied that for her the right and the center are the same thing:
The response of the followers of the former presenter of the Challenge was not long in coming. Some netizens supported his comment with a like (12.6k) or shared (3,133), while another commented: “For that if you're not blind, deaf or dumb. Only when they come to question who, according to you, represents you”; “hahaha, it's funny, for what... And to think that inside you have that ranch burning”; “definitely the center of not being left in the second round and therefore in the presidency (which is very likely), you must declare yourself independent and even defend the right to vote in white”, among other statements.
Not the first time that Margarita shows her political preferences, even, like other artists, such as Santiago Alarcón, Adriana Lucía, Mario (the vocalist of Doctor Krápula), among others, they have used their networks to make their political perceptions and support known to some sector.
The last time he defended the leader of Human Colombia was when a video was broadcast on social networks, where Petro spoke with difficulty on a stage in Girardot, apparently due to the effects of alcohol. At that time, through his Twitter, he said: “Well, I wish people liked drinks that well”, receiving more than 18,000 likes and 3,200 'retweets'.
The users' responses were not long in coming either, and several of them even took 'the rags in the sun' from him because of some statements he made in previous years. In August 2014, Margarita Rosa spoke about drinking: “The 'moralization' of drugs and permissiveness to alcohol are contradictory. People think being drunk is hilarious.”
Likewise, other netizens cited a trill from December 2016. “It is not known what is worse; a drunk politician giving an interview or the sober politician who thinks as if he were drunk,” the presenter said at the time.
