Víctor García hopes that there will soon be a reunion of all the members of the first generation of La Academia and denied that he is one of the participants of the reality show who does not want to meet with his peers, because he feels a special appreciation for what happened on the show.
After almost 20 years of finishing the first installment of La Academia, its participants continue to try to get together to celebrate the achievements that each one has had thanks to the attention they received with this show and also to remember their best moments within the program.
Some former contestants have assured that there are those who do not want to meet their peers again because of how it may affect their image, so Victor García refused to be part of the singers who discredit La Academia for the program Chismorreo.
And it is that a few months ago Raúl Sandoval and Toñita explained that the reunion of the first generation graduates has not been possible because the ego of some of their colleagues does not allow it.
As he explained in an interview with De Primera Mano, those who have refused do so because they think that the event would be to lift the race of any of them or because that would affect their “status” as stars.
“For some people to join the first generation is to demerit or regress, but I think that when I squeeze their pants, they will want to,” the Negra de Oro said at the time. And it is that of the three formal reunions that they have held, none have been successful because there is always a missing member.
For his part, Víctor confessed that at some point he was also affected by fame and ego, so he understands the situation and only hopes that, as in any relationship, the first graduates of La Academia will smooth out their roughness and manage to meet all again.
Finally, he confessed that his relationship with Myriam is no longer the same as during his time as students of The Academy and, in fact, he hasn't seen her in any of his shows since the program ended.
“Myriam has always made me a great artist, a great performer on stage, I have never had the opportunity to go and see her, but I know perfectly well who she is artistically and I know her ability,” she said during to Chismorreo's microphones.
The first time the first generation met was in 2012, 10 years after the program ended. They had planned to have a tour with 15 dates that, even, were already confirmed, but they had to cancel them because they would not all be there. However, they released the theme Have Faith.
Later, in 2017 they met at the National Auditorium, but also on that occasion some members were missing.
