Universitario vs Alianza: they intervene in subjects who sought to provoke confrontations between fans

The Peruvian National Police intervened this Sunday morning with six members of “La Trinchera Este U”, from the La Molina sector, hours before the classic between Universitario de Deportes y Alianza Lima, which takes place from 3 in the afternoon at the Monumental Stadium of Ate, for matchday 10 of the Apertura de Liga 1 2022 Tournament.

PNP Colonel Jorge Fernández, head of Divpol Sur 1, indicated that this intervention was carried out to minimize the events that could cause disruption of public order and damage to private property.

THEY INTENDED TO MAKE FUN OF THE RIVAL

The cash pointed out that the members of this bar were sticking posters on the Shamrock by Javier Prado, a regular route to the Monumental Stadium of Ate.

They were seized 65 posters that “are a kind of mockery and satire of the opposing team (Alianza Lima), referring to the years in which it was relegated to the Second Division (1938-2020)”.

“This may have caused the bars of Alianza Lima, on their way to the stadium, to become hot and may have caused some alteration or material damage or encounters with the rival bar,” Colonel Jorge Fernández explained.

He also noted that a duly stocked 38-caliber revolver was seized, in addition to 85 PBC quets and 24 bundles of marijuana.

CAPTURE

The Police indicated that, at the time of the intervention, the barristas were on board a vehicle with which they were moving to stick the posters. When they became aware of the presence of police personnel, they started the escape; however, they were intervened when they intended to enter Circunvalación Avenue.

“This police action has prevented that there is no disruption of public order in the moments prior to the sporting event. The command has arranged for the equipment and bars during their movement to be guarded by police personnel,” added the PNP colonel and confirmed that part of the detainees had police records.
