In the world of entertainment, beauty and image are of vital importance, that is why there are people like Malejo Cangrejo, who specialize in advising renowned celebrities and stand out for their impeccable handling in makeup, hairstyle and color techniques.

This 36-year-old from Bogota has become a leading reference in styling, thanks to the work he currently plays for renowned celebrities, such as Greeicy Rendón, Andrea Serna, María Fernanda Aristizábal, Laura Acuña, among others.

However, his story began far from the stars and glamour, as he confessed in an interview with Infobae Colombia, in which he reviewed the first years of life that, without thinking about it, proved to be decisive in deciding his future.

Alejandro Romero (first name) grew up watching his mother work as a stylist, which is why this scenario has always been recurring. In addition, his first approaches to the themes of beauty occurred since he was a child, when he played to comb and fix his sister.

Over the years, Malejo Cangrejo began to help his mother's business and positive responses from customers began to validate his talent. However, the influence of his father — who works in the ornamentation trades — led him to opt for electronic engineering when choosing a professional career.

Five semesters passed, until several circumstances caused Malejo Cangrejo to reconsider whether this was the real path he should follow, so he suspended his degree and started a new undergraduate degree in industrial design, which he paid for by working as a stylist in his mother's beauty salon.

After becoming a professional, he devoted himself for two years to leather goods, but it was not a field in which he felt entirely comfortable. Then, another personal debate of vital importance for the future had to be considered: to continue working there or venture to reap the fruits of the talent he had cultivated since his childhood.

It was then that in the development of this personal project he met a client, who told him that there was a possibility of working for a makeup brand, but he did not pass the test.

Despite his first failure, Malejo Cangrejo continued to insist on fulfilling his dreams of growing professionally, so a new opportunity presented itself and that did not let it pass.

In this way, Alejandro went from working with his mother's clients, to making up and styling renowned celebrities, as he also made the leap to participating in successful national television formats such as: Colombia's Next Top Model, El Desafío, La Agencia, The Humor Festival, La Voz Colombia and La Voz España .

Similarly, his commitment and closeness to Greeicy Rendón have led him to step on the red carpets of important galas, such as the Lo Nuestro and Latin Grammy Awards, in which he has stood out for his concept of creating and respecting the identity of each person, as well as of highlighting naturalness and creating coherence between personality, the beauty and style of each personality.

The famous stylist also recalled in his talk the late Mauricio Leal and assured that he had the opportunity to work with him on several occasions, in which he realized that he was a “wonderful human being and given to others”.
