Guardar

On the eve of the long holiday for Easter coming to an end, Rutas de Lima, concessionaire company of Panamericana Sur, reported on the detours that will be implemented in the road to avoid traffic congestion and achieve smooth traffic throughout the day.

To this end, the Return Plan 2022 will be launched as more than 140,000 vehicles will begin their return to Lima after days of relaxation in the south of the country. If you are one of those who will return to the capital this Easter Sunday, pay attention to the scheduled detours and U-turns.

DEVIATIONS IN THE SOUTH PAN-AMERICAN

In order to speed up traffic in the Pan-American South, Rutas de Lima opted for all lanes, from the Arica highway interchange to the Santa María del Mar exit, to be directed towards Lima.

That is, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., when the highest number of vehicles is usually recorded, all the lanes from north to south between the points mentioned above will be reversed.

As for vehicles looking to leave Lima tomorrow, they will have to be diverted through the old Pan-American South, from the Atocongo bridge to the Arica highway interchange. There, the direction of the two lanes adjacent to the central separator from the north to south direction will be changed. Cars traveling south will have a lane and the side berm to drive.

Likewise, Rutas de Lima specified that free services are available for road assistance, light and heavy towing or ambulances on the routes within its jurisdiction.

PNP RECOMMENDS

The Peruvian National Police (PNP) urged drivers not to travel on the auxiliary highway. The institution specified that these spaces are intended for the transit of emergency units, such as firefighters and ambulances, or in the event of an emergency in the vehicle.

He also recommended that travelers return to Lima early on Sunday or wait until night, so they would enter the city early on Monday and avoid traffic congestion.
