Holy Week is reaching its last days after non-working holidays (Thursday and Good Friday), where some worked and others took advantage of it to make long-term trips to Peru or other activities. However, it is important to know what the next non-working days will be in Peru so that you can organize in advance.

The difference between holidays and non-working days is not that difficult. The first thing is paid reductions that are not compensated, this is by law since, for example, for Easter they must pay you triple if you have worked on holidays. On the other hand, non-working days are decreed by the Government. If you don't work, you must make up for those hours on other days, coordinating with your shift manager.

The regulations state that the hours stopped working during those days, established in the Supreme Decree, will not be compensated in the next ten days. In that sense, know the dates that are coming so that you take note and don't forget it.

I WORKED GOOD THURSDAY AND GOOD FRIDAY. HOW MUCH WILL THEY PAY ME?

The days passed, but maybe you couldn't travel because you were assigned to work those days according to the company. In that sense, not everything is negative since you have the right to receive extra remuneration. Based on Legislative Decree No. 713, which specifies payments for paid breaks, this is what should be recognized by the company where you work in the middle of this religious holiday.

According to official information, all workers who practice formally must receive remuneration corresponding to one day's work per non-working holiday. In that sense, you will be paid without going to your work center.

It should be noted that many work by telework, and that is why it is important that you ask your employer in advance for this information of interest so that you know how it will be handled in your work.

On the other hand, there may be different scenarios that you should take into account so that you are not deceived and you can demand your corresponding remuneration if you have worked on those dates. These are:

- If I work, but I make up the day: if you reach an agreement with your employer to take breaks on other dates, you receive a daily remuneration for the holiday and another for the work that is done.

- If I work on holidays: these professionals will receive a triple payment. To define it better, for those who are in the private sector, and who work on holy days, they will receive the benefit, as long as they do not receive a substitute rest afterwards.

- If I do telework: those who are in this modality, and do not work on Thursday and Good Friday, will receive the remuneration equivalent to the triple payment of their daily pay.

Finally, if you have to rest on April 14 and/or 15, workers may receive twice the daily wage, equivalent to one for weekly rest and another for the holiday.
