José Manuel Sánchez Cruz, Manu Vaquita, owner of the bar where former governor of Jalisco, Aristotle Sandoval, was murdered, was linked to trial for qualified homicide and cover-up, but the politician's wife asked that the causes of the crime be clarified.

“We would love to know the motive, or why, I would not know how to explain to them: they say that the authors are determined, but what I would like to know is why,” Lorena Jassibe Arriaga demanded as she left the hearing at the District VIII Court of Control and Oral Trial in Puerto Vallarta.

According to the state prosecutor's office, the businessman known as Manu Vaquita is accused of having authorized and ordered various actions inside the restaurant bar District 5, which facilitated the entry of the hit men, as well as altering the crime scene that hindered the investigations.
