The death of Freddy Rincón left a huge gap in the football world, which reacted to the death of the 'Colossus of Buenaventura', who left for eternity after suffering a traffic accident in the early hours of Monday, April 11, after colliding with a public transport bus in Cali.
Teammates and coaches who had the opportunity to lead him in their respective clubs where he deployed his talent have expressed their pain and at the same time admiration for Freddy Rincón, who leaves a legacy.
Personalities such as Jorge Luis Pinto, Luis' Bendito ', Carlos 'El Pibe' Valderrama, René Higuita, among others, did not hide their pain over the unexpected departure of the former Corinthians player and Real Madrid.
One that had words of praise for Rincón was the Brazilian player with Spanish nationality, Marcos Senna, who shared with the former Colombian team player in Corinthians whom he considers a real leader.

For his part, coach Francisco Maturana also spoke at Freddy Rincón's funeral that took place at Pascual Guerrero where he shined so many times with the América de Cali jersey.
First, 'Pacho' was affected by the death of Rincón, which he led several times in the national team in the 1990s.
In the same way, Faustino Asprilla highlighted a good relationship he had with Freddy, and stressed that more than friends they were a family despite the rumors of rivalry that arose at the time. “A lot of things were always said, that we lived fighting, that we had groups, but we were really close friends, we always loved each other and I think that was the success we had, being a family. I'm going to remember it with great joy,” he said.
