“He claims to be humble, but he didn't have the detail”: the criticism of James Rodríguez for his silence after the death of Freddy Rincón

Journalist Diego Rueda questioned the footballer for not dedicating a few words to the Colossus of Buenaventura, as did some referents of the Colombian national team

Journalist Diego Rueda criticized James Rodríguez on April 17 on the show 'Carousel'. The reason: the silence of the cucuteño on the death of Freddy Rincón on social networks, being one of the few members of the Colombian national team who has not spoken about it.

Falcao, David Ospina, Juan Guillermo Cuadrado, among others, published messages of condolences to the family and highlighted the importance of Rincón for Colombian football.

“It's a bad detail that James Rodriguez didn't say anything, that can't be,” Rueda said and recalled that Rincón was critical of the Al-Rayyan player for his lack of commitment, will, physical form, leadership and sacrifice.

The journalist said that if he did it privately it was okay, but that he should show solidarity in public. “If he did it privately, wonderful. But in this case it must also be made public. The James thing wasn't right. That can't be.”

The death of Freddy Rincón mourned world sport and Colombian football. The Buenaventura-born was not only an idol in national teams, but broke sporting milestones by being, for example, the first Colombian to sign for Real Madrid, and by qualifying for the Colombian national team to the round of 16 of a World Cup for the first time, with an agonizing against Germany.

His quality as a player and coach led him to be invited on several occasions to the panels of different sports programs on radio and television.

When it came to giving his opinion, the 'Colossus' did not save anything, especially if it was the players of the Colombia national team, although always with respect. Such is the case of James Rodriguez, with whom he had crossings of messages at some points.

Well, after the player's death was known, one of his sons, Freddy Stiven Rincón, said that sometimes he disagreed with the concepts his father gave about Colombian football and its stars.

According to Stiven Rincón, his dad never regretted what he said when they asked for his opinion.

“Those topics put us on end and we said to him: 'Hey, dad, stop that because you're going to get in trouble. ' And he would say, 'Why else am I telling the truth? ' , and you were going to see and he was right. He just didn't make up the way things were said, nothing was kept, but without affecting anyone,” he assured Gol Caracol.

About James Rodriguez, Rincon's young son assured that he never wanted to damage someone's name and only said what he saw on the court.

For now, James, the star of the Colombia national team, has not left a message of condolences for the death of Freddy Rincón on any of his social networks.
