Former President Vicente Fox Quesada once again attacked President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) for the new Felipe Angeles International Airport (AIFA).

Through his official Twitter account, Fox Quesada shared the video of a user showing the flagship work of the current empty administration; in the audiovisual of less than a minute, less than ten people are seen walking through the corridors, including travelers and airport workers.

Along with the video, the former president stated that the “so pyrris” construction of the now federal president is poorly done, so he questioned the person who made the design and who built it.

In the message, he called Felipe Ángeles International Airport a “third-rate terminal”, so he ironized that the Mexican army is doing better in barracks than building.

It should be remembered that this is not the only comment that the former president has made to one of the flagship works of the Movimiento Regeneración Nacional (Morena) administration, because days after its inauguration, Fox Quesada compared AIFA's international flights with the achievements of López Obrador.

“The achievements of AMLO's six-year term are like AIFA's international flights, they don't exist,” he said.

In another tweet he published a meme about the activity that airport workers have had in the first three days of operation.

Likewise, in a series of publications he began a “thread” where he explained the advantages and benefits that he will have in the country with the Felipe Ángeles airport, however, the next message that Fox wrote was a “thread close”, this, referring that the new construction will not bring anything good to Mexico.

Three weeks after its opening, the new complex continues with little influx of passengers.

According to the logs of April 8, consulted by the Reuters agency, of the 14 confirmed arrivals and departures at the airport, five were military flights; while the “Benito Juárez” International Airport in Mexico City (AICM) records about 900 daily flights.

This means that operations recorded in one day at AIFA represent 1.5% of daily arrivals and departures at AICM.

Even during April 13, on the platforms of the so-called Santa Lucia airport, the announcement of a single flight arriving from Mérida and with delay was observed on a screen.

The fact is that only the Mexican airlines of Aeromexico, Volaris and VivaAerobus, which provide trips, work at Felipe Angeles International Airport nationals to Tijuana, Cancun, Monterrey, Guadalajara, Villahermosa and Mérida.

However, on April 1 Aeromexico announced that it will operate a third destination from Santa Lucia.

In a statement, the airline reported that starting May 1st it will be flying to Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, with four weekly frequencies. This, with the aim of complementing its operation at the air terminal towards a beach destination.
