On March 7, 'I call myself' — in its 2021-2022 installment — concluded on the screen of Caracol Televisión. Among the list of imitators who appeared as participants in this season of the reality show were those of Maluma, Jennifer Lopez, J Balvin, Leonardo Favio, Camilo Sesto and the list goes on broadly.
However, it was the last imitator named — that of Camilo Sesto — who managed to emerge victorious among the other contestants and dress up with the title of winner. “Thank God, my family, Colombia I love you... thank you for believing in this dreamer”, were some of the words that the singer said when he knew he had won the competition.
If we talk about the monetary prize that was awarded in the musical imitation reality show, it was 500 million pesos.
Then, throughout all the presented episodes of the program, the Colombian audience could see how Alejandro León (the first name of Camilo Sesto's impersonator) left everything on the court — as they say colloquially — to go into detail and polish his work imitating the Spanish artist.
However, how did León sing during his adolescence? What did he look like at that time when he didn't have the burden of imitating Camilo Sesto on his shoulders? Well, if any follower of the singer has asked questions like that, they can already clear them on account of a publication made by the imitator.
Thus, from his Stories on Instagram the singer posted a video in which he is seen, at the age of 17, developing in the interpretation of the bolero 'I will wait for you'. In turn, 'My name is Camilo Sesto' wrote about the image: “A young Alejandro singing for the first time in front of many people... at that time he was 17 years old and with many dreams to fulfill.”
Needless to say, Alejandro León is a native of Armenia.
The audience of the musical imitation reality show has already seen how Amparo Grisales (actress) and César Escola (musician and presenter) have played as juries, however, there are three entertainment figures who play this role in the production and, for the 2021-2022 season, the third place as jury was held by Yeison Jiménez (music singer) popular).
Previously, other popular singers have also served as juries on the reality show, for example, Pipe Bueno.
“Tonight is the grand finale of 'I call myself, 'and I wanted to thank all of you for being connected all these months with this great number one entertainment program in our country,” Jiménez said from his social networks with reference to the end of the production.
And it is that, if we talk about rating, 'I call myself' has always carried the seal of being popular with the audience. Once it ended, Caracol Television offered another reality show to its audience as a replacement: 'Desafío The Box' (2022).
