New clues from the Debanhi case caught the cameras of a hotel, Dad declared: “We think she's alive”

Seven days have passed since the disappearance was reported on social media and a campaign to locate Debanhi Susana Escobar, an 18-year-old woman who lost touch with her loved ones after attending a Quinta in the Nueva Castilla neighborhood, in the municipality of Escobedo, Nuevo León. Mario Escobar, father of the law student, said he had hope of finding her after analyzing some videos.

One of the clues that could shed light in the search for Debanhi is the review of the security cameras of various establishments located in the vicinity of his last location. According to independent journalist Víctor Badillo, there are 18 audiovisual recording devices between the Quinta where Debanhi was located and the camellón where the last photograph was taken.

Meanwhile, Mario Escobar, Debanhi's father, said that together with the authorities they were able to review 15 videos captured by security cameras around his last location, near the Nueva Castilla Motel. According to the Telediario microphones, after observing the material, he had a new hope of finding his daughter, although there are no videotapes to be analyzed.

“I can't make much progress, but with what they showed us we have a lot of faith and a lot of hope that our daughter is alive. I know my daughter is alive, I feel it in my heart. My daughter Debanhi is alive and if she watches this video I want to tell her that we are not going to rest to go for her. We are going to rescue you wherever you are,” he said this Saturday, April 16.

Another clue that gained relevance in recent hours was the testimony of a person who claims to have seen Debanhi hours after his disappearance. On social media, the testimony of a man who observed her walking on the road to Nuevo Laredo was released.

On April 12, 2022, Andrea Lugo released the testimony of her father, the person who claims to have seen Debanhi Escobar hours after her disappearance was confirmed. Although she did not specify when her family member could have contact, the publication was released three days after the law student was last seen.

“Hello. Good afternoon. My dad didn't know about the publication until I talked to him. He says he saw her this morning on the peripheral and highway of Laredo, approximately 50 meters from Hotel Periférico. She says she was walking towards Apodaca, she says she was wearing the same dress as the picture and that she was very sure it was her. He saw her at approximately 7:30am”, the publication reads.

The alleged sighting of Debanhi would have occurred on the northern periphery of the metropolitan area of Nuevo León, approximately 4.5 kilometers away from the Nueva Castilla colony, where the Quinta is located where she went with her friends and where she would have been last seen. The user who reported the update said she had contacted the family and the authorities to provide them with the corresponding information.

In the early morning of April 9, after attending a party near the premises of the Attorney General's Office (FGR), Debanhi was abandoned by her companions. According to her testimony, they would have called a trusted contact to come to the scene and take her home. Although they did come for her, Debanhi never came home.

According to the versions, an application driver was in charge of making the trip, but at some point along the way he left it. The photograph where Debanhi is seen in the middle of the road would have been captured by him and shared with family and friends, who began their search when they had no news of his whereabouts.
