This Saturday, April 16, Senator of the Democratic Center, María Fernanda Cabal, once again lashed out against the candidate for vice presidency of the Historical Pact, Francia Márquez, assuring that the environmentalist, who benefited from state subsidies during the pandemic, owned a restaurant in Cali, about which she would be “lying” to citizens in the country.

The congresswoman, who was the most voted parliamentarian in the last elections, shared a story titled: “Francia Márquez, the victim who lies to Colombians, owned a restaurant in the city of Cali” in which she assured that the formula of the opposition leader and presidential candidate of the left-wing alliance, Gustavo Petro, was supposedly the owner of a commercial premises located in Barrio Lido, which supposedly would be “misleading” the voters.

“Francia Márquez 'the impoverished negra negra' what is her name. That winning 800,000 in an environmental prize and restaurant in Cali, he collected 25 transfers of solidarity income (which were for the needy). And he dares to talk about the oppressive state and what he had for breakfast. Thief”, said the former candidate for the Chamber of Commerce, Miguel Polo Polo.

Likewise, the content creator and former member of the Democratic Center, asserted that: “they want to make you believe that if you are black, you are automatically good and oppressed, and if you are white then you are bad and oppressive. The color of the skin does not determine anything. Just as there are good whites like Jhoana Bahamón, there are also bad blacks like the scammer from France and Negro Acacio.”

This is not the first time that the senator and the content creator, who are known for their controversial right-wing positions, have attacked the Afro-Colombian social and environmental leader, who voted the highest in internal consultations with nearly 800,000 votes in the national territory, who have criticized the fact that she was a beneficiary of State programs.

“Instead of knocking down statues with the first line, change your name”: Maria Fernanda Cabal's strong message to Francia Márquez

Members of the opposition have criticized the vice-presidential candidate for including in her speech inclusive language insisted by Maria Fernanda Cabal, who wrote on her Twitter account that: “Francia Márquez must be consistent and change its name: FRANCE was a colonizing slave empire in Senegal, French Sudan, Benin and Ivory Coast in Africa. He is “colonizing tyrant” in his verbiage mamerta. Instead of knocking down statues with the first line, change your name.”

Senator Iván Cepeda, for his part, reproached the attacks against Petro's formula, noting: “The Royal Spanish Academy contemplates the use of the word “majora”. However, some are shameless because Francia Márquez says “older and older”, but they shamelessly use language to insult, lie and incite violence.”
