The journalist Mara Patricia Castañeda has a long relationship with businessman Iván Martínez Urbina and in the expectation that a marriage bond will take place between them, the famous said that they had a mishap when they saw the requirements requested at the legal level in the country's capital.

It was through his Instagram account that Castañeda explained that he was with his partner in a civil registry office located in the Benito Juárez mayor's office in Mexico City, when they learned that to make their marriage they should make a strange request.

“I tell you that @IvanMartinezUr3 and I went to @BJAlcaldia and to get married we have to take a course according to a man who asked us to write down the requirements and that the graduate was busy. @STaboadaMx Mr. Mayor, the staff lousy attention,” he wrote.

He also shared a couple of images that he took on the site where the specifications required to carry out the procedure come.

It mentions that suitors must be of legal age, carry a marriage application issued by a government page, certified copies of the certificate of birth certificates, official identification, proof of address, marital agreement or separation of property, among others.

But what caught the couple's attention was the point where it was said that it was necessary to have the “constancy of the pre-nuptial course”.

For its part, the official account of the Mayor's Office Benito Juárez responded to the entertainment journalist and offered her guidance in this regard.

“Good afternoon. Civil registry offices do not depend on the mayors 'offices. We recommend that you contact the central government through @locatel_mx so that they can provide you with assistance. CC @CDMXConsejeria”. While the General Directorate of Civil Registry added: “Good afternoon @MaraCastaneda, we gladly review it, please send us the information through MD.”

Reactions from netizens soon appeared and some expressed their dismay at the authorities' requirements.

“How relaxed and how many things do they ask for now 17 years ago I went, gave birth certificates, proof of payment and they gave me a date, now that I read the requirements it seems that what they least want is for people to get married and take a course? Success! That you fix it soon and congratulations”, wrote one user.

However, others pointed out that Mara Patricia was demanding “different” treatment and that was not fair, since the general population had to take the course if they wanted to marry.

It makes me exaggerate, it is equal treatment for all, and you are seeking preferential treatment. The course is never too much, that's why people collect divorces,” said one netizen.

It should be remembered that a few days ago, Mara Patricia shared from her Instagram account a romantic photo with her partner where they look very much in love.

“5 years ago we started writing a love story... Today we continue to write this wonderful story. I love you @figurinx Thank you @mirnacastaneda_60 and @alejandrogo_60 for being with us @the_arkinkclub,” he wrote. To which Juan José Origel commented: “What about the wedding?”

This course is taught by staff of the Civil Registry and the talks are attended by the contracting parties after delivering all the documents. The course addresses topics such as the rights and obligations of spouses, family planning, sexual health, gender equity and how to prevent domestic violence. Once the course is completed, they are given a record that is the one that must be submitted.
