Easter 2022: where are three beautiful parks to enjoy in Mexico City

During this Easter holiday, hundreds of people visit some states of the Republic. However, there are some other families who decide not to leave the country, in that case, if you live in Mexico City you can visit some parks or forests to spend a pleasant time during this holiday period.

If you are one of those people who like greenery, spend a pleasant day, rest and get out of the daily routine, then this information might interest you.

Desierto de los Leones National Park

This forest of huge leafy trees such as oyamel, ash and oak, will be a good recommendation for young and old. It is an adventure site where you can enjoy the outdoors or go hiking, the sports activity that consists of walking in mountain places.

With more than 1,500 hectares, this green area houses a former convent from the 17th century, a river and some service providers for recreational activities, cultural and artistic events, sports competitions, among other things.

Its climate is semi-cold, cloudy and rainy in summer. Within this park is the former Carmelite convent, an idyllic place with tunnels, gardens and exhibition space; as well as a trout and deer farm in a place called “Los peteretes”.

To get there you must take the Mexico-Toluca highway, colony La Venta in Cuajimalpa.

Chapultepec Forest

This space divided into four sections has been one of the busiest places at any time of the year. You can take a tour around its lakes, enjoy its sports spaces and even visit the insect festival that was staged during this season.

This project is called Insecta, where monumental insects were placed in the first section of this Forest and various activities related to dynamics are offered. Admission is free and will be available in the first section of the Forest, from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m.

This place also offers dance shows, concerts, workshops and theater throughout the day to enjoy in the company of family, friends or partner.

El Bosque de Chapultepec is located in the mayor's office of Miguel Hidalgo in Mexico City.

Masayoshi Ohira Park

Japanese-style and Asian-style, Masayoshi Ohira Park is a quieter and ideal option to enjoy serenity.

This is a good opportunity to walk between the bridges and trails that this space has been inaugurated since 1942.

According to some research, this park, which represents the friendship between Mexico and Japan, has even been visited by actors or actresses from the golden age. Its cherry trees, the Asian-style buildings and the tranquil stream enchant the senses of visitors.

This beautiful place is located in the corridors of the Country Club Churubusco neighborhood, in the mayor's office of Coyoacán.
