Andrea Lagunes, child protagonist of “Droplet of Love”, is already a mother

Andrea Lagunes, one of the child actresses who triumphed in her childhood through Televisa soap operas, announced on April 15 that she became a mother.

After sharing last November that she was expecting her first baby with her partner, Luciano Sánchez, the protagonist of Gotita de Amor announced through her Instagram account that her son was already born. With a tender photograph where she is carrying her firstborn, whom she named Mariano, she welcomed the baby.

In the publication, her followers congratulated the actress and her partner on their first baby, and some of them mentioned that now Andrea will have to enjoy her “little drop of love”. “Congratulations to all three of you. Lagunes is currently 29 years old and, although she stopped participating in soap operas since her teenage years, she currently has a large group of fans who support her in the different projects in which she appears, such as La Rosa de Guadalupe and Como dice el dicho.

After having triumphed in soap operas such as Carita de Ángel, Vivan los niños, and Gotita de amor, his most famous participation, he retired from melodramas, but not from acting.

As explained by the actress who played Chabelita, she did not decide to abandon soap operas, but was forced to leave them since she was not accepted in castings because she has always looked much younger than she is.

In a live broadcast for the YouTube channel of Tvnovelas, Lagunes revealed that after her success as a child star, she wanted to continue in this profession, however, the producers decided not to accept her because they could not give her characters with strong stories as she still looked like a girl.

“I did castings for soap operas already as more youthful ones and they told me no, that I still saw myself as a child, that they could no longer put me as falling in love with someone or things like that stronger because I still looked very young,” she uncovered.

However, she wanted to continue in this profession, so she dedicated herself to several theatrical productions such as Goldilocks and The Wizard of Oz, as she does not plan to leave the profession she has had since she was a child. “I love acting, it's something I'm never going to give up,” he said during the broadcast.

He has also tried his luck with venturing into music and has launched collaborations with different singers.

The actress also confessed that this type of situation continues to affect her life and not only her professional life, because on many occasions she is still asked for her identification to prove that she is 29 years old. And although this sometimes harms her, and on other occasions it benefits her, it has normalized it and no longer affects her as much as before.

Today, Andrea is still remembered mainly for her performance as Chabelita in Gotita de Amor, a production that she is very fond of, as it not only marked her life, but to this day she remembers that during the recordings she enjoyed the soap opera a lot.

“It marked something in my wonderful life; there is a before and after having been in Gotita de amor (...) I did that when I was five years old and today they still remember me for that and many people continue to thank me for having been in their childhood,” said the histrionist.
