The next Star Wars series to reach the catalog of Disney+ will be Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ahsoka, two stories focused on characters from the saga that we have known for several years. First, the production that will bring Ewan McGregor back in his role as the prequels of George Lucas will be released and, later, Rosario Dawson will resume the character with which he debuted in the second season of The Mandalorian.
In the historic directing team that has worked with Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni on television fiction starring Pedro Pascal, there is no doubt that one of the biggest names is that of Bryce Dallas Howard. In a recent conversation with the Romper portal, the American filmmaker and actress shared some of the impressions generated by Ahsoka Tano's solo plot.
“Without revealing anything, you will love Ahsoka's upcoming program. I can't tell you anything, but what I can say is that if you are a fan of Clone Wars you will be very well rewarded,” the Jurassic Wold star confessed about what will come to the galactic franchise in the future.
Rosario Dawson, known for her roles in Sin City and Daredevil, became the first performer of the female character in the live-action universe. In 2008, his fictional pair first appeared in a novel and later made his TV debut with Star Wars: The Clone War, an animated series created by Filoni. In this same one we saw her development as a padawan of Anakin Skywalker until her rise as a Jedi teacher in the seventh season that aired in 2020. He also had a cameo appearance in Rebels.
The continuation of Ahsoka Tano's journey took place in The Mandalorian, where she meets Din Djarin on the planet Corvus. In this episode titled “The Jedi”, the powerful Jedi finally reveals the name “El niño”, Grogu, and the Mandalorian asks him for help so that she takes charge of training him. She declines the request and reappears later in the sixth episode of The Book of Boba Fett, where she closely watches the little boy's training at the hands of Luke Skywalker.
Who is part of Ahsoka's production?
In addition to Dawson, Ahsoka will feature performances by Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Ray Stevenson. The story will be led by Dave Filoni and, for now, it has not been confirmed whether Dallas Howard will be among the filmmakers who will direct the first season. It is also not known whether the characters of Pedro Pascal or Temuera Morrison will have an impact on this plot. Recently, it was confirmed that Peter Ramsey, the director of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, will be part of the project in the direction.
Not much is known about the plot yet, since the Star Wars productions maintain a great secrecy, however, it is possible that the story will be set after the events that occurred in The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. Filming for the series will begin in late April and the Disney+ series can probably be seen later this year or in 2023.
