José Eduardo Derbez responded to critics that it was thanks to the influence of his father, the famous Eugenio Derbez, that he will be part of the fourth season of the reality comedy show LOL: Last One Laughing Mexico, which for three installments was hosted by the XHDRBZ actor.
The son of Victoria Ruffo was caught in the press on the red carpet of the play Ghost: The Shadow of Love, where he was questioned about the statements that say it was thanks to his dad that he was able to enter the program broadcast on the Amazon Prime platform.
“No egg fits, first they say 'let them work together, let them work together' my dad had nothing to do with it, they marked me very separately. In fact, I marked my dad afterwards, but I tell you, people are 'work together, work together' ok, let's work together 'Oh no! It's because of the dad', then no and now,” said the actor, who criticized that the public will always be against it, according to his assessment.
“They're never going to be happy. Since we entered this project, it was everyone, we come to work as different people, that is, we are not going to get involved as dad and son, but everyone is going to do their job, it was a lot of fun, we both enjoy it a lot and I think they're going to like it a lot,” said the actor.
In addition, the history that will be 30 years old in the next few days assured that his father's discipline is remarkable at work: “He is demanding, he is disciplined but that's why he is where he is,” he said.
And it is that recently Eugenio Derbez announced that the program he has been hosting and producing for three seasons, will be back next May with a new installment, however one detail caused controversy among the public.
And it is that the actor and producer, who has recently spoken out against the construction of the Mayan Train, announced through a promotional video and a couple of posts that in this new season his son will appear next to him, who already has a certain position before the public in comedy programs such as La parodia and Renta congelada.
Several reactions arose to the announcement, because while the audience loyal to the actor of No Accept Returns reacted in general in a positive way, there were also some comments on social networks, where a sector of the public did not welcome the young man's incorporation into the program that is broadcast on the Amazon Prime platform.
Some of the users who responded to Derbez's announcement even alluded to the alleged nepotism displayed by the actor of The Family P. Luche, as they claimed that inviting their son to join the project responds to favoritism and not to the talent or merit of the comedic actor and Member's driver on the air.
In his message shared on Instagram, Alessandra Rosaldo's husband said that his son, who is currently starring in the series Mi Tío on the same streaming content platform, will join the production to help him detect who of the participants is laughing after a joke, the premise of the program in question.
“From such a Palol such a splinter. For the fourth season of LOL I bring the best reinforcement, José Eduardo, could it be that two heads detect laughter better than one?” , wrote Eugenio, a message to which some users reacted negatively and mentioned a case of nepotism, which according to the dictionary of the Royal Academy of the Spanish Language, refers to “an excessive preference that some give to their relatives for concessions or public jobs”.
“You don't have someone else”; “And now why did they give the son a chance when there were better comedians?” , “Already putting it to the egg;”, “That Joseph has the same little grace as his dad”, “If not, his children 'just' do not work”; “The worst decision, now martyrdom will be twice as much”, are just some of the comments that can be read about it on social networks.
