On the verge of finishing her university career, Valeria, the second daughter of Valentín Elizalde, revealed that this year could be the one where she finally launched as a singer, following in the footsteps of her father.
Valeria, who is currently 20 years old, shared in an interview with Sale el Sol that she is ready to succeed in music like the late Valentín Elizalde, as it is one of her professional goals. However, due to their other occupations, their plans could continue to be postponed.
She added that she wants to follow in her father's footsteps, matching the unique style with which she sang, but also creating her own label.
The second daughter of the so-called Golden Gallo has shared for several years that she would like to be a singer and for this she has prepared herself with singing lessons. In fact, in 2016 she performed with her sisters, Valentina and Gabriela, On My Father's Tomb, in tribute to Valentín Elizalde.
At that time, the uncle of the Golden Pollitas, Francisco Elizalde, said that none of the three had planned to dedicate themselves to music, however, they had taken classes to celebrate their father.
After overcoming criticism for her interpretation of On My Father's Tomb, in 2020 Valeria announced that she will seek to venture into the Mexican regional.
On the other hand, in the interview he shared that among his goals is also to finish his university studies, since he currently has only a few semesters left to graduate from the communications degree and would like to dedicate himself to television.
“I'm doing very well, I'm almost done, I'm just two semesters away. (...) I am very struck by driving, radio also catches my attention, but I think something more to the axis of television,” Valeria commented.
Last February the Elizalde sisters remembered the Vete Ya interpreter on what would have been her 43rd birthday.
Valeria shared a tender photograph of her childhood with her father, where she is posing next to a Christmas tree with Valentín. In the picture he wrote: “Happy birthday to heaven, my most beautiful angel”.
Despite the fact that the singer's daughters spent little time with him, as he was killed when all three were not older than 10 years old, they hope to continue his legacy with the support of the Golden Rooster fans. Even during the interview with Sale el Sol, Valeria thanked the support that still exists for her, her sisters and her father despite the fact that it is 15 years since her death.
“I am so grateful to all the audience, that I keep remembering my dad's music and I think it's because my dad was an artist who was very aware of the public, he had the great love and respect that he deserves. And I think that over the years people keep remembering him for his simplicity and, above all, what a great artist he was,” said the young woman.
After Valentín's death in 2006 and his mother, Blanca Vianey Durán, who was murdered in 2016, Valeria has lived with the Elizalde family.
