The Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD) filed a second appeal to cancel the Mandate Revocation consultation, this time, due to irregularities in the cells.

Ángel Ávila Romero, representative of the PRD to the National Electoral Institute (INE), denounced that several polls received more votes than the number of citizens registered on the Nominal List.

On his Twitter account, he assured that through “Morena operators”, on Sunday, April 10, a “flagrant electoral fraud” was carried out, particularly in Chiapas, Veracruz and Tabasco.

“Casillas who received more votes than had their own list. In the polls they were dispatched with the big spoon in states such as Chiapas, Veracruz and Tabasco, there were boxes where more than two people per minute voted, a real piggy that Morena's operators did. We ask that all the boxes where there was electoral fraud be checked,” he wrote.

He insisted that such events should not go unpunished, given that it was a bad precedent for the elections next June and the presidential elections in 2024.

“These traps cannot remain unpunished, if there is no response from the authorities, these same traps will continue to be repeated for the upcoming electoral processes, which is why we demand the cancellation of the consultation on revocation of the mandate as fraudulent,” he said.

On Wednesday, the PRD filed an appeal to the National Electoral Institute for annulment of the process for the “blatant” violations of the Political Constitution and the basic electoral principles, using public resources and the intervention of officials, including the President of the Republic.

At a press conference, Jesús Zambrano Grijalva stressed that if the Revocation is not annulled, the body can leave the “extremely dangerous” precedent that the basic principles of the Constitution, electoral mandates and various legal systems can be violated, as well as electoral bodies, the Electoral Tribunal of the Judiciary of the Federation (TEPJF), judgments of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN) and the Legislative Power itself.

“We cannot allow it to remain as part of the picaresque politics as something that is not important, we don't want a precedent to be set for the upcoming electoral processes; we don't want people to think that the law can simply and simply be blown away and that there are no consequences,” he emphasized.

The leader of Sol Azteca asserted that the nullity of the process for the revocation of the mandate must have consequences for those who engaged in unlawful conduct. “The one who caused all this, as the main flyer of all these precepts is the President of the Republic, who would have to be subjected to a new process,” he added.

In this regard, he accused the federal president, the head of the Ministry of the Interior (Segob), the commander of the National Guard, senior officials of the Federal Government, governors, and senior leaders of Morena of electoral crime, who acted “in a gang tumultuously” and that “must be subjects of law enforcement and be punished for committing serious crimes in violating electoral systems”.
