The leader of the Historical Pact, Gustavo Petro, did not let go unnoticed what Good Friday means for those who profess the Catholic faith, although his message was open to those who follow him.
In a video that lasts 54 seconds, the candidate spoke about the importance of strengthening the family, announcing that more than 5 million families have the mother figure as head of households due to the absence of their partner in different circumstances, which is why he proposes that there be more education and greater stability in homes within a a progressive government, such as the one he enacts in his presidential campaign.

Both politicians aspire to arrive at Casa de Nariño on August 7, for which they will first have to overcome their contenders such as Ingrid Betancourt, Rodolfo Hernández, John Milton Rodríguez, Sergio Fajardo, Enrique Gomez, Luis Pérez.
However, Petro and Gutiérrez are the two candidates who score best in the most recent polls conducted by different media outlets.
It should be remembered that the first presidential round will take place on May 29, where the president of the Colombians could be defined in the first instance for the next four years, although it is expected that there will be a second round in which the two best votes of the first round will compete for the presidency.

They also expand their support from different sectors of the country by seeking to make alliances that allow them to attract voters, as did some businessmen with Gutiérrez or a part of environmental leaders with Petro.
It is worth remembering that Rodolfo Hernández has been seen overtaking Sergio Fajardo in intent to vote. This is the order in which the candidates for the presidency are placed in an April poll conducted by the National Consulting Center (CNC) for CM&: Gustavo Petro leads with 34%, followed by Federico Gutiérrez with 23%, Rodolfo Hernández rises in position with the third highest intention to vote with 12%, while Fajardo reaches 9% by little more than a month for the votes.
Ingrid Betancourt achieved 2%, while John Milton Rodriguez took 1% of the polls. Finally, candidates Luis Pérez and Enrique Gómez are listed with 0%.
