Tamaulipas agreed with Texas to suspend extraordinary reviews of commercial trucks

After a week of tensions and protests by cargo truck drivers, finally the four states in northeastern Mexico, which border Texas, the United States, reached an agreement to “normalize” the trade flow and supply chain between the two countries.

And this Friday afternoon, the PAN governor of the state of Tamaulipas, Francisco García Cabeza de Vaca, held a meeting with his republican counterpart Greg Abbott, to negotiate the suspension of the extraordinary review of each Mexican commercial truck entering Texan territory, in order to contain the illegal entry of people.

It is worth mentioning that Tamaulipas was the last entity to agree to relax Abbott's immigration security measures, despite experiencing the most worrying situation, since due to the blockade of truck drivers, several trailers were burned on the Pharr Bridge last April 13, allegedly at the hands of organized crime.
