Rafael Borré was one of the most important men in Eintracht Frankfurt's 2-3 win over Barcelona at Camp Nou, for the second leg of the UEFA Europa League quarterfinals. With the victory it was the Germans who advanced to the semifinals and by the way they took away 15 undefeated dates that the team led by Xavi Hernández brought without defeats.

Borré scored a spectacular goal, the second for the visit. The Colombian hit a bomb and left Marc-Andre ter Stegen without any chance who flew and could not stop the blast shot. After scoring the striker celebrated and dedicated his goal to the memory of the recently deceased Freddy Rincón. After the end of the meeting, Rafael Santos explained about his tribute:

Santos Borré also expressed himself for the incredible accompaniment that Eintracht Frankfurt had in Catalan territory:

In the semifinals of UEL Borré and his club will now face England's West Ham.

Barcelona's first football year without Lionel Messi was already bad. It got worse on Thursday. Eliminated from the lucrative Champions League, the powerful Spanish team had no choice but to play the Europa League, the second-rate continental tournament. There, too, he succumbed.

Eintracht Frankfurt surprised Barça at Camp Nou itself, winning 3-2 to advance with an overall score of 4-3.

“From mistakes you learn ''they say. Well, today it's time to be self-critical, we haven't had a good match or a good elimination, that's why we're out”, acknowledged coach Xavi Harnández.

Barcelona had possession of the ball. Frankfurt scored the goals. And the “culés” did not even win the duel in the stands, where numerous fans of the German team loudly encouraged him.

The Catalan club was the favorite to win the only trophy missing in its showcases. He played for the first time in the Europa League and never won his predecessor contest, the UEFA Cup, in which he reached the semifinals four times, losing all of them.

Frankfurt was the monarch of this tournament in 1980, and agreed to a duel against West Ham, who qualified for the semifinals of a European competition for the first time since 1976, after eliminating Lyon for a 4-1 overall.

Earlier, Christopher Nkunku scored a double to help Leipzig reach its first semifinals by beating Atalanta 2-0 in the second leg of the quarterfinals.

Nkunku scored in the 18th minute after an assist from Konrad Laimer and later converted a penalty in the second half to seal Leipzig's 3-1 overall win.

Atalanta goalkeeper Juan Musso fouled Nkunku in the area to open the way for the Frenchman, who scored his 30th goal of the campaign in all competitions.

In an overtime match, Kemar Roofe scored for Rangers, who won 3-1 on a Braga who stayed with nine men. The Scottish team advanced with an aggregate of 3-2 and will be measured against Leipzig.

Leicester became the first club to advance to the semifinals at the inaugural Europa Conference League after having a goal down to beat PSV Eindhoven 2-1 in the Netherlands.

The English team won with a 2-1 aggregate after a 0-0 draw in the first leg and will now face Roma in the semifinal.

Directed by José Mourinho, the squad from the Italian capital is the favorite to conquer this tournament. He crushed Norway's Bodo/Glimt 4-0, to advance for a 5-2 aggregate.

Ricardo Pereira scored the winning goal within two minutes of the discount to lead Leicester to their first European semifinal after goalkeeper Yvon Mvogo held back the shot of substitute Patson Daka.

Eindhoven opened the scoring after German international Mario Götze assisted Eran Zahavi, who scored for the eighth time in Europe this season and fourth in the last four Europa Conference League matches. James Maddison tied at 77.
